HE SAID HE WASN'T GONNA HELP KIDS WITH CANCER GET TREATMENT!!!!
Well kind of. It went like this; There was going to be a study at the national institute of health for a group of kids who have cancer. Harry Reid appeared on CNN today, and was questioned, and well... hear for yourself here. He said that when, earlier in the day, he appeared on the senate floor chastising the republican party for not caring about children with cancer. As my dad said, "Can you say HYPOCRITE?!"
And he is to thank for this whole shut down. The republicans in the house have been passing minute funding bills all day, but grumpy pants above them has said no all day! Meanwhile a woman had her dream wedding at the Grand Canyon ruined because the parks are closed. The WWII veterans, who traveled MILES, who are 70 and 80 years old, to see the memorial put there in their honor, were told that they couldn't see it because of Mr. Reid. Granted that's a totally different story, and those men had EVERY RIGHT to move those gates, but they wouldn't have had to if senator Reid had just put his petty attitude aside and done what he was put in to office to do; LEAD THIS COUNTRY AND PASS BILLS THAT BENEFIT THE PEOPLE, NOT HIS PAYCHECK. He is President Obama's lapdog and it's HIS fault the government is shut down and thousands of people are now out of work. He can pass the blame off on the Republican party all he wants, but ultimately this is HIS fault.
I know this isn't the typical babble I post about here, but this stuff needs to be said, and I'm not about to let the opportunity pass. And feel free to comment telling me otherwise, or tweet me @Thatcoolrusher. I want to hear your opinions and thoughts on this, as well as hear your feedback. Let's get a discussion going!
And I intend to post about this shut down as it goes on. This is a unique opportunity, and we should learn and read as much as we can about this, so we learn from these peoples mistakes. Because history often rhymes, or repeats itself. I hope to hear from you guys soon, in the comments and on twitter!
Oh, and remember Ted Cruz? While the government is in shutdown and he's still getting paid (Again, hit me up on twitter ;), he's donating all of it to charity.
Until tomorrow
